Hello and welcome to Handmade by Monica’s blog! Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about me.

I first decided I wanted to open an Etsy shop in late 2014 after having handmade lots of decorations for my wedding and seeing how much joy they brought to our guests. I wanted to replicate that happiness for many more people, so here we are!

My business is located in London and I currently have a day job to keep up with the (ever-increasing!) rent. However crafting is my passion and I hope to make it a full-time pursuit one day very soon 🙂

Our spare room is my current workspace and I share it with my husband (he’s a painter), so it generally looks like crafting chaos in there with loads of bright fabric everywhere and tubes of paint all over!

As you may have guessed from looking at the bunting in my shop, I’m a big fan of and heavily influenced by all things bright, cute, quirky and fun. I have always had an interest in Japanese culture (Kawaii in particular!) since I was a child and I saw a lady demonstrating the art of origami in our local shopping centre.

I love creating unique bunting designs that are quirky, colourful and perfect for gifts, parties, special occasions or maybe just to brighten up your home.

I aim to provide great customer service (check out our reviews!) and I’m always open to custom orders and requests – everything from personalised name or wedding bunting to bespoke vintage tea party bunting and business name bunting for craft fair stalls.

On this blog I’m hoping to share everything from sneak peeks of new product ranges to special giveaways, round-ups of things I’ve learnt and hope to do as well as reviews, how-tos and more!

Thank you for reading and do feel free to leave us comments on the blog, we’d love to hear from you!

Pop over and say hi on social media too:

And finally, my online shop can be found at www.handmadebymonica.co.uk and my Etsy shop at handmadebymonicauk.etsy.com
